NODA Review - by Bill Stubbs
David Bridges used all his talent
and experience as Scrooge, giving a polished portrayal of this
complex character. Joe Totten played Jacob Marley, with strong
singing, and was also outstanding as Tom Jenkins. We enjoyed the
fine singing and performance of Rachel Totten as The Ghost of
Christmas Past, and Bryan Shallow (Ebenezer) again proved what a a
talent he is. The larger than life Ghost of Christmas Present was
suitably portrayed by the effervescent Iain Campbell. Bob
Cratchitt was played by the more than competent Matthew Coulter.
James Brown (Nephew Harry) was outstanding and with wife Helen
(Lorraine Murphy) and the marvellous chorus provided a highlight
with a wonderful performance of "The Minister's Cat".
The Cratchitt family with long suffering Mrs Cratchitt (Ailsa
King) all played in character, especially Brendan Strang (Tiny
Tim). The other named principals played their roles to the high
standard attained in this wonderful production. I can only say I
endorse every word printed in the local press review.
