Bill Stubbs - NODA

Once again St. Pat's produced a show
that is seldom, if ever staged in Region No. 5 - and once again
delighted their audiences. Harold Hill, the Music Man, was played
with conviction by David Bridges. In this, his first Principal role,
he acted and sang very well indeed. Maureen Barr played the part of
Marian Paroo with confidence. Her Singing was most enjoyable,
particularly "Til There Was You". Jim McGhee was in his
usual good form as Mayor Shinn. The Barber Shop Quartet can be a
problem but was solved by having two ladies and two men make up the
foursome, and a great job was done by Aileen Shallow, Anne Marie
Totten, John Shallow and Jim Williams. Other players who made an
impression were Joe Totten as Charlie Cowell, Ann Kelly, Patricia
McNeill, Frances Burt, Gillian Malloch and Laura Alexander. The
chorus were in fine voice and moved well, while Michael Miller,
Martin McGhee and the rest of the children did very well indeed. An
entertaining production of which Judy and Fraser can be proud.
